The Barrel Room

This 800 square foot event space under Pangea pays homage to the buildings amazing history built in 1896 for the Garden City Bottling & Liquor Company to store whiskey barrels.  Original 1900's arched brick and stone walls blackened from a 1925 fire mingle with contemporary lighting & furniture to make it a one-of-a-kind space for anything from wine tastings to private dinners to business lunches.  The space seats up to 30 people comfortably and is by reservation only.

  • There is a $150 rental fee, however, this is waived if the entire bill exceeds $1000.

  • Reservations require a minimum of 7 days advance notice.

  • A credit card is required to hold the room. This card will be charged the difference if minimum is not met.

  • A $250 cancellation charge will be incurred without 72 hrs. notice.

  • For groups less than 16 food is ordered from the Pangea Restaurant Menu.

  • Plated dinner menu available for groups of 16 or more.

  • Customized “experiences” are optional for parties of 16 or more. 

  • Children must be supervised at all times in the Barrel Room.

  • All events are subject to a 20% gratuity.

  • No glitter or confetti is allowed - subject to a $150 cleaning fee.

  • Furniture may not be moved - subject to a $150 damage fee.

menu options

  1. Standard Pangea Menu:  This option (available for any party size) allows for all individuals to order food & beverage from the regular Pangea menu including cocktails, wine by the glass and by the bottle.  Prices are as marked and subject to the $500 minimum.  You will have a dedicated server for the Barrel Room.

  2. Plated Dinner Menu: This is a plated 3 course dinner available for parties of 16 or more.  There are 4-5 options for each course; Salad, Entree and Dessert.  You select one item from each category for the entire table or you can select a maximum of 2 options from the entree category if you pre-order. (example, one meat based and one vegetarian option).  Pricing is per head at $75/person with an option to add a custom wine-pairing by our sommelier for $50/person.  Appetizers and drinks are ordered separately.

  3. Customized Chef's Experience:  For groups of 12 or more we are family style experiences at $55/person.  These themed culinary experiences include appetizers, entrees and desserts all from a specific area of the globe.  Wine pairings can be added for $35/person designed to perfectly compliment the dinner.
