SOLD OUT!!! Private Wine Tasting of the Huneeus Portfolio

Join us in our barrel room to taste with the Kings!  From the Huneeus library of gems, come some of the biggest wine brands from Napa Valley and Oregon's Willamette Valley.   This intimate tasting will be hosted by Huneeus representative Nick Graber and Pangea's own level III Sommelier Kyle Riggs.  The tasting will feature the giants of the Huneeus library in Quintessa, Faust, Flowers & Leviathan.

Quintessa:  This 280-acre site reflects a diversity of geology, biodiversity, exposures and microclimates. Inspired by this distinct property, founders Agustin and Valeria Huneeus believed that it was destined to become one of the world’s great wine estates. Depending on the vintage, Quintessa may include some or all of the five varietals grown on the property: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Carménère. The fruit is harvested early in the morning, then sorted and gravity-fed into oak, stainless steel or concrete tanks and vinified. Once fermentation and maceration are complete, the wine from each plot is aged separately for up to two years in French oak. After the final Quintessa blend is created, the wine is bottled and laid down for yet another year before release.

Faust:  Embodied by two expressions- Faust & The Pact. Each represent a modern portrait of the Napa Valley and our Coombsville estate.

Faust: A Modern Classic. Through relentless exploration, our winemakers are always in pursuit of the undeniable quality and unique style, fitting of a modern Napa Valley classic.

The Pact: A Pure Expression of Coombsville. The Pact serves as a portrait of our estate and showcases exactly what makes the Coombsville region so special.

Flowers:  Pioneers of the Sonoma Coast. The Flowers Vineyards and Winery estate stretches across a rugged ridgeline just two miles from the Pacific Ocean. Rising to an elevation of 1850 feet, these remote and extraordinary far-coast sites bring you Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with a compelling sense of place, and remarkable acidity and balance in each vintage.

Leviathan:  Capturing decades of winemaking experience and vineyard knowledge, renowned winemaker Andy Erickson began Leviathan in 2004 with a single goal: to create a red wine each vintage free from the restraints of appellations and crafted from notable vineyards throughout California. Every year he coaxes the very best from each of the chosen varietals, regions and vineyards to create one distinct and exceptional red blend. 

 

Ticket price is $75/person and will be held in our intimate Barrel Room wine cellar below Pangea.
